RECYCLING NOTICE: Repeat offenders to have bins removed

The Village of Pouce Coupe reminds residents that recycle bins that continue to be rejected for pick-up will be removed.

On October 27, 2018 the Village Public Works department rejected 18 bins for not having the proper materials in them. Items that will not be picked up include soft plastics, Styrofoam, batteries, light bulbs and glass bottles. These materials are to be brought into DC Recycling. Furthermore, bins will also be rejected for any food waste.

Checking the bins is an extra cost to the taxpayers of $500.00 per recycle day.

The Village is keeping track of the rejected bins and any bin that is rejected twice in a three-month period will be removed. If this occurs, a notice (see sample below) will be put on the resident's door and the bin will be removed.

Residents are reminded that soft plastics can be brought by the ice rink beside the Community Centre, where they can be placed in a "soft plastic only" bin.
