Reimbursement of tipping fees for Flood Victims

 

The Following applies to Flood Victims:

  1.        That the reimbursement of tipping fees to residents, businesses and non‐profits who haul their damage to a Tier 1 transfer station or landfill between June 17, 2016 and July 5, 2016 upon submitting proof to the Regional District by July 15, 2016 of flood damage such as a letter from their insurance agency, photos, or confirmation that they have applied for disaster financial assistance, be authorized.

THE CANADA DAY BBQ WILL BE HELD AT THE BALL DIAMONDS IN POUCE COUPE FOR CANADA DAY.

We are looking for vendors that would be interested in setting up and selling at the ball diamonds. Please call the village office if you are interested.

People are reminded to please bring their own chairs and water bottles.

FLOOD RELIEF

MESSAGE FROM EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT BC:

 

Major flooding in the Peace River Regional District from June 15-17, 2016  has caused property and content damages. As a result of the damages sustained from this event, provincial Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) has been authorized for qualifying claimants, such as home owners, residential tenants, small business owners, farmers, charitable organizations and local government bodies, who were unable to obtain insurance to cover these disaster-related losses.
