Cone Zone Campaign launched for road safety

Cone Zone season has arrived, as hundreds of workside work zones are getting set up around B.C.

In an effort to improve the safety of roadside workers, the Work Zone Safety Alliance is launching the 2018 Cone Zone Campaign, an annual road safety awareness initiative to encourage safe driving behaviors around roadside workers.

Roadside work is a dangerous job. Between 2008 and 2017, 12 roadside workers were killed and 218 were injured and missed time from work as a result of being hit by a motor vehicle.
