Open burns restricted in the northeast

PRINCE GEORGE - Effective at noon on Saturday, May 5, 2018, Category 2 open fires and the use of fireworks will be prohibited within the Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Fort Nelson fire zones.

Air Quality Reminder

As the season shifts into spring, Northern Health is reminding municipalities about the ways their operations impact air quality. Road dust can be an issue as the snow melts and winter traction materials dry up. With proper airshed management, planning and policies set in place we can reduce the impact of emissions and air pollution.
