Village Council

Mayor Lyman Clark

Lyman Clark was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He started his journey to Canada in 1987 and, after stopping in Seattle, finally arrived in 1990. After falling in love with the Peace in 1989 while visiting friends, Lyman recieved a Canadian work permit in 1990, followed in time by landed status and then Canadian Citizenship.

Lyman has been a member of the Dawson Creek Sportsman's Club for many years and is a Past President. Through this involvement, he has also been associated with the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation and BC Wildlife Federation. He is also a Lifetime Member
of the Pouce Coupe Community Foundation.

Lyman is a history lover, concentrating mostly on railways and steam locomotives. He enjoys Shakespeare plays and movies, going to historical sites, and building working reproductions of firearms over 200 years old.

Councillor Peter Kut

Peter Kut was first elected for the Village of Pouce Coupe Council in 2002, and is in his fourth term on Council.

Peter served on several committees when he lived in other communities like Bonanza and Baytree. He also served on the Bonanza Town Council.

Born and raised in Baytree, Alberta.  Peter moved to Pouce Coupe with his wife as retirement from being a life-long farmer in the Baytree area.

Peter’s involvements include his volunteer work with the Legion, Senior Citizens, COPS, Canada Day Celebrations Committee, and many other organizations looking for a hand.

Peter and wife Gerta have two sons and several grandchildren. Peter enjoys restoring old tractors and vehicles.

Councillor Ken Drover

Ken Drover was born in Labrador City, Newfoundland and came to the Peace Region for employment with H.F. Nodes Construction where he is currently employed as a Safety Coordinator.

Keeping active in the Peace, Ken is involved with the Seniors and is currently renewing his coaching certification courses. He looks forward to coaching local children and youth in the area.

Enjoying welding and carpentry projects in his spare time, Ken lives in the Peace River Regional District with his wife Ann and step daughter.

Councillor Laura Hamann

Laura Hamann was born in Edmonton and raised in Dawson Creek. She currently lives in the Village of Pouce Coupe with her husband, Herb.

Having served on the Pouce Coupe Council from 1999 to 2002, this will be Laura's second term. She has also been involved in the community for many years, helping with many special events.

The Peace Region is the perfect setting for Laura to enjoy some of her favorite hobbies: quadding, camping and fishing with her two children and four grandchildren.
