CAO & Corporate Officer

CAO/CFO Chris Leggett

Chris Leggett joined the Village of Pouce Coupe as Chief Administrative Officer in the summer of 2016. He has also been filling the Chief Financial Officer role for the municipality since August 2017.

Mr. Leggett is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of Village operations. His various duties include budgeting, reporting to council, negotiating and securing contracts, staff management and capital/special project implementation. He also serves as the Chief Bylaw Officer.

Mr. Leggett previously worked for the District of Tumbler Ridge where he worked as the Chief Financial Officer and as an elected Councillor. His educational achievements include designations in Certified Financial Planning, Accounting and a Forestry Technician Diploma. He also carries a pair of Local Government Certificates through Dalhousie University – Local Government Administration and Local Government Financial Administration.

Mr. Leggett has a passion for motorcycles and completed a Motorcycle Mechanic Diploma out of personal interest. He has three kids and enjoys snowboarding, hiking and camping.


Corporate Officer Sandy Stokes

Sandy Stokes joined the Village of Pouce Coupe in 2015 and has been working for the municipality for just over six years.

As the corporate officer, Stokes handles council records, agendas and minutes. She also oversees travel and accommodation arrangements, administers bylaws and records, issues public notices and serves as the Human Resources Officer. Stokes builds the Council Agenda and acts as the Deputy CAO when the CAO is off duty or away from the office. She was Village of Pouce Coupe Chief Election Officer for the 2018 General Local Elections.

Stokes is highly organized and task focused. She takes on a leading role in managing and coordinating Village of Pouce Coupe events including the annual Canada Day festivities and the Old Fashioned Santa Claus Parade.
