Building Permits
The Village of Pouce Coupe issues building permits and conducts inspections in an effort to ensure that buildings are constructed and facilities are installed in accordance with BC Building Code and regulations.
You may submit and pick up permit applications at the Village Office during regular office hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Permit processing and plan review turnaround times are dependent upon the time of year and the scope of the project.
Permits should be posted at the building site for the duration of the project.
It is the responsibility of the owner/contractor to ensure that other inspections such as electrical, gas connection, plumbing, water and sewer connection are carried out at the appropriate times.
Building Inspector
Our Building Inspector is Devon Bacon and his services are shared with other municipalities within the Peace River Region. To schedule an inspection, please contact the Village Office at (250) 786-5794. The owner/contractor must give a minimum of 48 hours to the Building Inspector for obtaining inspections and approval of all work under construction.
