Property Assessment
Assessed Property Values
BC Assessment is a provincial Crown corporation and their role is to independently assess the value of your property. Property assessments are carried out annually and notices are mailed to all property owners in British Columbia. BC Assessment provides market value information on properties within the Village of Pouce Coupe to the municipality as the basis for calculating annual property taxes.
Appealing Property Values
You cannot appeal your taxes, but you can appeal your assessment. If you disagree with the value shown on your Property Assessment Notice, you have a limited time to appeal to the BC Assessment Authority. For more information, review the BC Assessment Appeal Process for deadlines and details at www.bcassessment.ca
More Information & Helpful Tools
BC Assessment and their website, www.bcassessment.ca offers a variety of helpful tools such as:
- A useful tool to compare your assessment to similar properties in the neighbourhood. It can be found at e-valueBC;
