Garbage & Recycling

Each household in Pouce Coupe will have a garbage and recycling container to be placed on their curbside on collection day. The garbage bin has a capacity to fit more than 3 standard garbage bags.  The recycling bin is to be filled with approved materials loose in the bin with the exception of shredded paper in a clear bag. The Contractor will empty the bins from a garbage truck equipped with an articulating arm. This method of operation is quicker and safer than traditional manual collection methods. Garbage and Recycling bins should be set out at the curb by 8:00 am for collection.

What do I do collection day?

Set Out Bin(s) Set out your container before 8:00 a.m. on Thursday mornings in the lane or street you normally use to set out your garbage (unless we have instructed you otherwise). Recycling is picked up every second Tuesday. See schedule for details.

Park It - Wheels against the curb or just off the roadway. Point It - Arrows should point to centre of road. Space It - Give at least 2 meters clearance on all sides. Remove It - Containers must be removed from the roadway no later than 7:00 p.m. on the day of collection.
