Pouce Park

Pouce Park is located along Highway 2, just south of the Village.

DAY USE ONLY

While the park sits just outside of the Village boundaries, it is maintained by the Village of Pouce Coupe. The park is a day-use recreational site that offers the following amenities:

  • Large green space
  • Outhouses
  • Picnic tables
  • Playground
  • Bandshell
  • Garbage and recycle bins
  • Doggy station
  • Gravel parking lot
  • Nine-hole disc golf course

Disc Golf

After approval by Village of Pouce Coupe Council, members of the Dawson Creek Disc Golf Club (DCDGC) set up a temporary disc golf course at the park in 2018.

The test course is a nine-hole Tone Pole Course. If council gives its full support in 2019, the DCDGC could upgrade the course to include Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) standard baskets.

Disc golf is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages, genders and athletic abilities. The sport is played like traditional golf but instead of a ball and club, players use flying discs to try and sink their disc into a target or basket in as few throws as possible.

The layout of the Pouce Park test course is displayed at right.
