City of Dawson Creek Declares State of Local Emergency

The City of Dawson Creek has issued a press release regarding the ongoing water supply challenges in the region. Importantly, the City notes that “The state of emergency does not mean that the City is out of water – it means that the City is acting now to prevent that from happening.”

The Village of Pouce Coupe receives its treated water from the City of Dawson Creek, and our communities have partnered in the provision of water service for decades. Accordingly, the Village of Pouce Coupe is working closely with the City of Dawson Creek in this matter and is closely monitoring developments as they occur.

Thank you,
