Regular meetings are usually held on first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 5011 49 Avenue. In July and August there is only one meeting per month, on the third Wednesday of the month.
Special meetings are meetings scheduled outside of the regular meeting schedule. Notice of a special council meeting must be given to the public and all members of council at least 24 hours before the time of the meeting by posting the notice at the Village Office.
Under section 90 of the BC Community Charter, municipal councils may meet in closed meeting to discuss certain subject matters, such as personal information, labour relations, law enforcement, land acquisition, and legal advice. These closed meetings are often called In Camera meetings. Council must close a meeting by resolution giving the basis which the meeting or part is to be closed.
