Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy

You have the right to access government information through the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) and have your personal information protected through the Protection of Privacy Act (PPA), otherwise known together as FOIPPA. Request information from the Village of Pouce Coupe through an informal or formal FOI request. We will respond as quickly as possible and within 30 business days. Depending on the request, there may be a fee to cover charges relating to your FOI request, an estimate is provided before processing.

The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) helps promote good government practices balancing the following principles:

  • Freedom of Information (FOI): The public has the right to access government information. Whenever possible, information held by the the Village of Pouce Coupe will be available to the public.
  • Protection of Privacy (POP): Individuals have the right to have their personal information protected. The Village of Pouce Coupe will not improperly collect or disclose personal information.

Submit a Request for Access to Records form to make a formal request. A fee of $10 application fee is to be submitted with the request form. You may submit your form and pay in person at the Village Office or send in the mail with a cheque to Village of Pouce Coupe, Box 190, Pouce Coupe, BC  V0C 2C0.
