Mayor & Council
The Village is governed by an elected council made up of a Mayor and four Councillors. Elections are held every four years for all municipalities in BC.
Council generally meets twice a month, and Council Members are also involved in various committees and liaise with community organizations.
If you have concerns you'd like to share with Council or ideas you'd like considered, get in touch with a Council Member or make a presentation at a Council Meeting.

Mayor Danielle Veach

Mayor Veach was re-elected as Mayor in the 2026 General Election.
I was raised in Dawson Creek but have called Pouce Coupe home for over 17 years. Pouce Coupe has always held a special place in my heart as I spent a lot of time out here as a child, so when it came to raising my own children, I knew I wanted them to grow up here.
Councillor Marcel Woodill

Councillor Woodill was elected as Councillor in the 2022 General Election. He was first elected as Councillor in the 2021 By-Election.
Marcel grew up in the Peace country for most of his life and spent much of his time on his grandparents’ acreage bordering Pouce Coupe with an early introduction to hard work in Briar Ridge. After graduation from South Peace Secondary School, he spend the next 18 years working in the safety industry as a medic, rescue technician and safety instructor. He and his wife Jenna are blessed with two children.
Councillor Tracey Windland

Born in Dawson Creek, I moved to Pouce Coupe from Chetwynd approximately 14 years ago for a new job. I chose to make Pouce Coupe my home because I loved the community.
Elected to Council in 2026, my priorities include listening to residents, responsible spending, accountability, and affordability. I want to encourage new businesses to strengthen our local economy and reduce reliance on residential property taxes. I am also interested in exploring the use of existing Village-owned properties for seniors housing, with funding through grants, partnerships, and donations to minimize costs to taxpayers.
Brianna Carriere

Born and raised in Dawson Creek, I have proudly called Pouce Coupe home for the past 10 years. First elected to Village Council in 2026, I am committed to giving back to my community and being a voice for residents.
My priorities include finding practical solutions to rising costs, supporting responsible spending, encouraging community events, and preserving the small-town atmosphere that makes Pouce Coupe special. I believe residents should feel heard, respected, and comfortable bringing forward their questions and concerns.
Councillor Chad Spencer
Email: cspencer@poucecoupe.ca
Born in Dawson Creek and raised in Campbell River, B.C., I returned to Northern B.C. to attend the Carpentry Program at Northern Lights College. I have lived in the North for 22 years, with the past 16 years spent calling Pouce Coupe home.
My spouse and I have two children, a son and a daughter. As a first-time Councillor, I want to do my part to make Pouce Coupe a better place for families to live, grow, and succeed.
